Fall

One of the hard parts about living in South America is that we miss seasons. Fall is my favorite season, so it's at least good that every 3.5 years I can experience it. These pictures are from our time at home last year. I just printed them and hung them in my living room to remind us what everyone back home gets to look at.






You can pray for rain here in Ecuador. Kind of a strange request, since we live in the rain forest and our typical rainfall for the year is in the 22 feet range! We are experiencing the worst drought in 45 years. Most of our electricity comes from a hydroelectric plant - so that means they are rationing our electricity because it's been so dry. We have been without power for 6 hours each day for the past week. I guess that's not bad compared to some places in the world.

    Beautiful pictures. I also like the fall. We don't get near the colors that you do back east, but we get a few here in Idaho.
