Otovalo

Here are some great pictures that Chad took on our recent trip with my parents to Otovalo. Otovalo has a large market where some of the indigenous people, from the area, gather to sell their crafts.

These are handpainted trays.

Did you know that "Panama" hats were originally made in Ecuador for the workers that were building the Panama Canal?

Even in Otovalo there are Ohio State fans!!

The serious shopper.

Blankets

Hand carved/burned gourds.

Bracelets

Hats

Tablecloths

  2. I love the photos.
The pics of the trays, the hats and the mother and little girl are beautiful.
The next best thing to being there.
