The Irwins are E x p a n d i n g

Nope, it's not what you think....

We were able to take advantage of Spring Break and head to Quito for some dental and medical appointments.  Josiah wanted me to share with you that he got an expander in his mouth for a cross-bite problem he has.

That's much closer than I would ever let someone take a photo of me!!  Each night we place a key in the hole, in the middle and turn a couple of times.  Hopefully in 3-4 months we will see his bite improve and possibly his front teeth will straighten out.  So far he has had minimal discomfort - but a hard time eating and "beat boxing"!!

Chad also had to get his annual flight physical that is way more thorough than it needs to be.  He spends an entire morning at the DAC (FAA here) building and sees a lab tech for blood work, an ophthalmologist, an ear, nose and throat doctor, a dentist, a cardiologist, a technician for an electrocardiogram, a psychiatrist, and a neurologist.   You would think he were flying the space shuttle!   For those of you who know the song "Alice's Restaurant".....you get injected, inspected, detected, infected, neglected and selected.  Sorry (or maybe glad) to say, we don't have any pictures of that!
