Home

Have you ever wonder where missionaries live while they are in the US for six months?  Or, what do they drive?  Well, this post has a couple of photos that will answer those questions....but so much more!

While on furlough we are based in Convoy, Ohio, at my parent's house.   Our first furlough we came home from Ecuador to find my parents had built a garage next to their house and included an apartment above it just for us!  It has been a HUGE blessing to have a space that's our "own" and not have to worry about it every time we come home.  As the kids get older, the apartment is getting smaller.....but we wouldn't trade it for anything!....unless we were here for more than six months!! : )

Olivia in our neighbor's orchard.  This would be a sweet spot to build a house!

Something that was new when we came back to Ohio this time was the addition of about 250 windmills!  Even though many people in our area are against them, we think they look pretty cool on the horizon.

The last two furloughs we have purchased a car through two separate ministries that purchase and inspect cars on behalf of people in ministry.   All you have to do is tell them what kind of car you are looking for and how much you are willing to spend and then they go to car auctions looking for "your" car.  It's worked out great and we love our Passat wagon.

Here are some other photos from around the "farm".
