Despedidas
At the end of any school year, (here in the missionary world) you inevitably have to say goodbye to someone. This year was no different. When someone leaves, the mission community always holds a good-bye party, also known as a "despedida". Back in the "day", we had some pretty crazy despedidas with fun skits....so we decided to bring some of the crazy back! The first pictures are of the despedida for the teachers and principal that are leaving. We played "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?" and the Barton family did a great job coming up with some great questions. The video at the end is of the Irwin family saying goodbye to the Egberths. The Egberths are from Sweden, so we did a spoof with the Swedish Chef skit idea - but instead of a chef he was a surgeon (Mattias Egberth is a surgeon.). It was A LOT of fun.
