Spring Break

A couple of months ago, we made a trip to Quito to spend some "family time" before Chad had to go the U.S. to bring the Kodiak down.  We made several day trips from Quito to nearby attractions and had a great time.  Here are some highlights from our trips.

There are some real Condors in the cage behind the kids, but they were shy that day.  We had to settle for a couple of gringo condors.

The Galapagos tortoises are always fun to watch.

Our fearless leader at the zoo.

One of the few animals, at the zoo, that isn't native to Ecuador.  Still pretty cool though!!!

Lauren and Jennifer (teachers at NSMS) were in Quito too and went to the zoo with us.  Fun.

Olivia and Lauren are a weird pair.

Andi and Olivia were scared about the zip lining trip.

We did 10 different zip lines through the cloud forest at Mindo.

Here's a good shot of the canyon we were zip lining across.

Sometimes it seemed you were just zip lining into the clouds.
