Loss

One of my jobs on my "to do" list this week was get back to blogging.  And then life happened....and sharing pictures of a Kodiak dedication, summer vacation and the kid's first day of school seemed pretty insignificant in light of people we love and care about hurting.  We have had 2 dear friends die in the last 2 weeks and it stinks.  Both friends died in senseless ways and took us completely by surprise.  So, today we will watch the second memorial service via internet and stand with our friends in prayer from far away.

In the midst of tears and pain, I know that my Redeemer lives and He has welcomed home both of these men of God.  The pain is real for those of us left behind, and doubly so for their families, but it it gives us peace to know that they are home now and we will join them some day.  You can join us in prayer for both the Hurley and Johnson families.

Chad with our dear friend Troy who passed away in a tragic airplane accident.
