Sr. Year Basketball

When we moved back to Ohio from Ecuador, Olivia was a 7th grader.  For whatever reason - even though she was a soccer girl in Ecuador, she decided to play basketball for the first time. It was a painful season to watch! We even bribed her with money to foul, to try to get her to be more aggressive. Fast forward 6 years and wow, what a difference! She put in the work and you can tell. We are so proud of her taking charge of what she could control. The highlight of her team's season was beating Melba which our school hasn't done in 12 years! Also, she was the MVP of her team and not only was she picked to be on her divisional all-star team, but was also the first student from Nampa Christian to be selected to play in the All-Idaho all-star team. We will sure miss watching 22, but can't wait to see her coach someday.

It's fun to find out that a girl you've "hated" playing against for 4 years is a super sweet gal that played on Olivia's all-star team!

The thrill of beating Melba!

The joy after taking a charge!
