Happy Birthday Josiah!!

Today my "little" boy turns 11!!

My friend Rebecca started a tradition of interviewing her kids every year for their birthdays on her blog.  And since this blog will eventually be like my diary....I'm stealing her idea!  Thanks Rebecca!

What is your favorite activity?
Football

What is your favorite color?
Green

What is your favorite toy?
Madden 12 for the Wii

Who are your best friends?
Elias, Jonny

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Football Player or a Pilot

Why?
I think God might be calling me to those things.

What does Daddy do all day?
Fly, helps out at the hangar and plays with me.

What does Mommy do all day?
She does lots of work at home.

What do you do all day?
Play the Wii, play outside, go to school, play football

What are your favorite books?
Black by Ted Dekker

What are your favorite movies?
NFL's Quarterbacks

What are your favorite foods?
Tacos and pizza

What makes you happy?
People being nice to me.

What makes you sad?
When other people are sad.

What makes you mad?
When people argue with me...or when mom and dad tease me.

What do you like to do with Dad?.
Throw the football.

What do you like to do with Mom?
Build legos (the real story is he likes for me to find the pieces while he builds!)

Also, on another note, MAF was granted a 6 month extension for the Americans to fly!  WOW!!  Isn't God incredible?  We were told last year that our last extension was the absolute last, so we weren't even praying about it!  We were on the road to getting our residency and weren't thinking of any other options!  This is great news!

Yesterday was a tough day as we got a call saying my Grandma was having some serious health issues.  I told my parents that the only thing worse than me getting this news, was having them here at my house when I know my Mom really wanted to be home.  It was just hard waiting all day to find out which way she was going to go and whether to change my parent's tickets to return home.  Thankfully my Aunt said just wait, because last night she pulled out of it and now is doing better.  Please pray that we won't have anymore scares while my parents are here.  They don't leave until the end of February - so this is a long prayer request!

  1. Happy Birthday Josiah! I can't believe he's 11!?!

I'm glad you "stole" my interview idea! (I stole it from somebody else I don't even know.) It's so fun to look back on already and it's fun for others to read as well. I'm sure our kids will enjoy reading them one day too.

Huge praise with the extension! God knows what He's doing, huh?!

Praying for you and your parents and your Grandma - it is SO hard to be far away from family when somebody is sick. Glad to hear she's doing a little better and praying she's completely well for a long time.

  2. Happy Birthday, Josiah! I like the idea of the interview.

We are so thankful for the extension MAF received. We will continue to pray for this. We will also pray for your Grandma.

    Have a wonderful evening.

  3. Happy Birthday Josiah,

I just finished reading "Black" and am in the middle of "Red." I also have "White" which will be next. If you don't already have them, I can lend them to you.

  4. I have a notebook for each of the kids with a few questions I ask them every month or so (when I remember) but there are some good ones here I can add.

I hope your grandma is continuing to improve.
