Valentine's Day

We recently celebrated "Friendship and Love Day" (aka Valentine's Day) at church.  The plan was to have people assigned to different items that they would bring already prepared and then we would throw it all together at church....literally!  They have a dish called arroz con pollo which is rice, chicken, and vegetables all mixed together.  That was the idea for this particular Sunday.  So, when I went to the kitchen to help get things ready, I learned that the person who was supposed to bring the chicken didn't show up, and the gas tank was empty for the stove!  Let's just say we were scrambling!  It all worked out in the end.  I wish I would've taken a picture of the big storage container that they mixed everything in.  Some things are just a bit different here than in the U.S.!

Playing games while the meal was being prepared.  Our church is about 75% young people.
