The Johnsons

Last week we had to say goodbye to good friends Garth and Valerie Johnson.  Last year when we were in dire need of a teacher for Nate Saint Memorial School, Garth and Valerie's daughter, Melissa, said that she thought her parents would be interested.  Melissa lived here a few years ago and taught at a local Ecuadorian school.  We were thrilled when everything came together for the Johnsons to come down.  Valerie was Josiah's fifth grade teacher for the first half of the year and then flexed for us to teach Kindergarten before they had to return to Canada.  Garth was able to work alongside our base maintenance guy, Ron Grant, as well as with the maintenance crew at the HCJB hospital.

We have been blessed with meeting some really great people during our time overseas, and the Johnson's are at the top of that list.  They sacrificed a lot to come and help us and they impacted our lives while they were here too!  We miss you already and can't wait to see you again!

Would you like to come and help with our teaching need this coming year?  We are a small K-8 school for missionaries’ children in Shell, Ecuador.  We typically have a staff of five teachers and average 25-35 students. Each teacher is responsible for all course work for two grades. We require that our teachers are credentialed, and raise their own support.

If you feel called to serve missionary children please let us know!!
