25th Anniversary

Recently Alas de Socorro (MAF) held it's 25th anniversary celebration.  If you're like my mom, you're thinking....I thought MAF had been in Ecuador for longer than 25 years??  Well, 25 years ago the Ecuadorian board of MAF was born with the idea that MAF would eventually turn things over to the national entity.  It's great to see how God has blessed Alas over the past 25 years.

We had a short service of gratitude for the many people who were founding members of the first board.  Also recognized was Mateo Chimbo who has been a mechanic with Alas for all of those 25 years and also Ron and Margie Grant who have been serving here for many years doing base maintenance and teaching/principal for the mission school.  The Grants are about to leave Ecuador for another assignment.
