Several longtime missionaries to the Waorani were invited to come and take part in meetings between the Ecuadorian government and the Waorani leaders. After the meetings, Chad was able to fly them into several communities to visit with many of their old friends. It was fun for him to get to witness their reunion, even if the weather didn't cooperate.

Waorani Village Visit
Many of you have read, or heard from us, the story of the 5 missionaries killed in 1956 here in Ecuador. The missionaries were trying to make contact with an unreached people group (the Waorani). What you might not know is that even though many of the Waorani are now believers, others are still living like they did back in the 1950s. Occasionally, this group, called the (Taromenane ), has attacked outsiders and oil workers, but recently they killed several Waorani. This unprovoked attack has caused some Waorani to seek revenge, much as they did years ago.
