Josiah's 9th grade class went on a field trip recently to Quito, the capital. Our family helped drive and chaperone the trip. They were able to tour Alliance Academy and sit in on some classes, attend the annual fall play at Alliance Academy, tour the basilica, and help out at Pan de Vida on a house they are constructing for a needy family.
Here are some photos from the basilica. You are allowed to go way up high on the structure...if you're brave enough! It always amazes me how intricate structures were built when there weren't great tools to work with at the time. Beautiful!
